Through Our Eyes

In March 2016, ArtWorks artists presented an exhibition entitled Through Our Eyes at the University of Arizona Museum of Art. The twenty-five artists who are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities took personalized tours and created original pieces inspired by the Museum’s collection.

An Amazing Opportunity for our Artists

We have been invited to bring Through Our Eyes to the Hozhoni Art Gallery in Flagstaff in January and February! We need your help to take our artists to Flagstaff so they can be part of their opening art reception.

Your gift will help cover the costs for travel, lodging and meals for up to 10 artists and an accompanying family or staff member. 

Our Artists & You

Your support will help our artists:

1. Develop new life skills in leadership, responsibility, and social interactions
2. Use their art as a tool to connect to others
3. Interact with other artists in a similar program in Flagstaff
4. Share their art with a broader audience
5. Learn hands on experience about putting together an art show

 Who We Are

ArtWorks is a community that provides creative and expressive arts interactions between adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and University of Arizona students. The core programs consist of the Sister Jeanne Carrigan Art Studio and the Mary T. Paulin Gallery which serve as a safe space for expression, connection and growth for artists, students and community.
