What is crowdfunding?
Through UAccelerate, the crowdfunding site for the University of Arizona, alumni and friends can make donations to support innovative projects that propel student engagement, new research discoveries, and efforts to expand the UA’s reach.
Where is my donation going?
Your contribution will be processed through the University of Arizona Foundation and directed to the college, department, or program responsible for the project you choose. Gifts are subject to University of Arizona gift policies.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
The University of Arizona Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code with the mission of advancing the University of Arizona by building relationships, securing philanthropic support, and stewarding assets. Charitable contributions to the UA Foundation are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.
What if a project doesn’t reach its funding goal?
If a project does not meet its funding goal, collected funds will be used to support the current project or other initiatives within the college, department, or program that most closely align with the original purpose of the gift.
What if a campaign is over funded?
If a project exceeds its funding goal, additional project funds beyond the stated goal amount may be used to further the project. Any funds available after the project ends may be used to benefit other projects within the college, department, or program that closely align with the original intent of the gift.
