Exploring Conversations in Research: Empowering and Transforming Through Knowledge
This summer, our New Start students will engage in conversations to expand their knowledge as they introduce themselves to the research life of the university.
The New Start Summer Program provides an opportunity for incoming freshman to take classes, work with peer leaders, and engage in various academic and extracurricular programs to make their transition to the UA successful. One of the key parts of New Start is our two day Academic Conference, where selected students present their original research around the theme of the summer. This year's theme, Exploring Conversations in Research: Empowering and Transforming Through Knowledge, will have students defining and analyzing the ways in which their own knowledge and perspectives add to existing conversations about technology, language, medicine, and other aspects of the world we live in.
What is your role in Empowering and Transforming?
Your support will provide scholarships to the winning conference presenters to be awarded for Fall 2019! Awards are given for the top presentations on Innovation, Research and Relevance. Last year, thanks to generous supporters like you, we were able to provide all eight Academic Conference winners with scholarships! Can we count on you to make a gift to support New Start students' outstanding academic achievements?
