Humanities Scholarship Funds
College of Humanities Scholarships
Each year the College of Humanities is pleased to offer several scholarships to deserving students enrolled in disciplines across the College. These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of alumni and donors who have demonstrated a long-standing interest in education and the Humanities. Monies awarded cover a portion of university tuition and fees.
Department Scholarship Funds
If you wish to direct your gift to student scholarships within a specific Humanities department or discipline, these funds are available and provide monies to cover a portion of university tuition and fees.
Africana Studies Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support Africana Studies students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
East Asian Studies Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support East Asian Studies students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
French Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support French students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
German Studies Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support German Studies students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
Italian Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support Italian students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
Public and Applied Humanities Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support Applied Humanities students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
Religious Studies Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support Religious Studies students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
Jim Doidge Classics Scholarship — This scholarship is presented to undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Classics with an emphasis in Greek or Latin.
Richard Jensen Latin Scholarship — This scholarship is presented to undergraduate students in advanced Latin studies selected based on GPA and outstanding academic achievement.
Sandra Rhead Jones Scholarship for Classics — This scholarship is presented to graduate students in Classics who have completed, or are about to complete, their first year of study.
Teresa Polowy Memorial Scholarship for Russian & Slavic Studies — This scholarship is presented to full-time undergraduate or graduate students making satisfactory academic progress toward their degree in Russian & Slavic Studies.
Spanish and Portuguese Scholarships — Gifts to this fund support Spanish and Portuguese students in their endeavors to enhance their academic and professional goals.
The Amy R. Williamsen Graduate Scholarship for Spanish and Portuguese — This scholarship is presented to full-time graduate students in Spanish or Portuguese.
