Who We Are
We’re the Project Owners for this campaign: two native Tucsonans and University of Arizona graduates (Emily and Moose) along with two transplants who moved here to work at the UA (Jessica and Krista). You may have received an email from one of us sharing about our UA journey. You may also know us from the letters, e-mails and phone calls you receive from the university. You might have spoken to one of us when you had a question or wanted more information about how to get involved. We are the Support UA team, and it’s our privilege to introduce you to the Arizona Fund and its importance to the university and to us.
What is the Arizona Fund?
The Arizona Fund was formerly named the President’s Fund for Excellence. President Robert Robbins is changing the name now because the power of philanthropy is bigger than the president’s office. It’s as vast as our certainty that we can improve a world that is changing by the minute. The Arizona Fund provides unrestricted support that the president can draw on so the UA can face any challenge, make the most of every opportunity and help create more UA journeys.
Why Give?
The Arizona Fund is a reminder of our UA journeys: pre-college student programs that helped us succeed, the campus museums and planetariums from childhood field trips and the amazing students and faculty we meet every day. The Arizona Fund is an opportunity to support students, faculty and the endless possibilities that make the UA great!
The UA is the place where so many of our journeys began and where more are starting every day. In honor of the UA's founding in 1885, we are challenging the UA community to raise $18,850 for the Arizona Fund by June 30th.
