The Parseghian Cup is an annual Rugby match between the University of Notre Dame and the University of Arizona. We come together each year to celebrate the relationship between the Parseghian family and UofA, the Tucson community and the Notre Dame family. It will be a great opportunity to unite two terrific Universities and to not only play for a victory, but a victory for all families effected by NPC disease. Niemann-Pick Type C (NPC) is a genetic, neurodegenerative disorder which causes progressive deterioration of the nervous system. It usually affects children by interfering with their ability to metabolize cholesterol. Adult onset NPC may also occur. Large amounts of cholesterol accumulate within the liver, spleen, and brain. This metabolic disorder leads to a series of neurological problems that are ultimately fatal…until a treatment is found. Pitch in to help the University of Arizona Rugby team go to South Bend to participate in this annual tradition for a good cause!
