University of Arizona Alternative Breaks is a student-run organization within the VolunteerUA branch of ASUA that offers low-cost service trip opportunities to UA students during university breaks. Our mission is to engage students in creating sustainable change through education, direct service, and reflection. We aim to teach leadership and civic responsibility through service experiences, and we encourage our participants to apply what they learned on their trips to the Tucson community. Our goal is to build a base of conscientious, active individuals at the UA!

These trips cost between $200 and $700 per student, which include housing, transportation and food for a student for the entire week of service. If you contribute to our crowdfunding campaign, you can help reduce the costs of these trips to make Alternative Breaks low-cost and accessible to all UA students.

A $40 donation will provide meals for one week for one of our Alternative Break participants!
This $150 donation will cover one student's ride to the service site in a university van! Funders at this level will receive a handwritten thank you from the Alternative Breaks team!
This $380 donation covers the average cost of flying to one of our service site locations. This year, our trips will go to Washington D.C., and Philadelphia, PA to change lives! Funders at this level or higher can be listed as a Breaker Backer on our Alternative Break T-shirts!
