New friends, old friends, colleagues, families and even Peer Mentors came together in the greatest spirit of collaboration!
Your generosity will support the salaries of our Peer Mentors for the 2016-2017 academic year.
While we have additional funds to raise for other aspects of our program, the success of this campaign has catapulted opportunities for additional funding and has held the vision for future students and Peer Mentors to have the opportunity to attend Project FOCUS.
We are very grateful for your support and hope you will continue to follow and share our progress as Project FOCUS continues to achieve great things.
Stay tuned for our next chapter..... http://projectfocus.arizona.edu/
A picture is worth..... $34,075 and 117% of the goal reached!
Our Peer Mentors and Project FOCUS Wildcats are EXCITED!
12 hours left!
Our journey is not over.... there are 24 hours remaining.
Thank you for joining our Project FOCUS family.
We would not be where we are at this moment without you!
GREAT things are happening and you have been a part of this.
Stay tuned for our final crowdfunding hours... $10,630 needed to reach our goal!
We are overwhelmed with the outpour of support and compassion for Project FOCUS. The light of hope to reach our goal is brighter every day because of the generosity of each of you. Your generosity is not only a gift to support our Peer Mentors. It is a gift that changes the future of each student that enters Project FOCUS. It is a gift that supports the vision that Dan, Phyllis and Stephanie dreamt to offer a student with an intellectual disability the opportunity to attend, experience and achieve a college experience!
"The BEST part about being a peer mentor is witnessing Project FOCUS students find their niche within the university as they gain more confidence and explore their own self-determination!!!"
Every day we are closer to our goal and today we have reached over $10,000 and that is because of each of you! Your generosity and thoughtfulness not only changes the lives of every student it empowers inclusive environments and changes the world we live in.
"Typical peers benefit from learning in an inclusive environment which more closely mirrors the greater community. It is one thing to learn about students with intellectual disabilities, it is quite another to learn alongside students with intellectual disabilities. It is enlightening for all."
~Associate Professor, Dr. Joan Curry, Dept. of Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
" Working at Project FOCUS gave me confidence in my abilities and also confidence that if we can create such a loving, accepting, passionate community at the University of Arizona that this kind of community can spread to other places as well." ~ Ryan Romo
Your support of Project FOCUS is a gift that transcends the experiences at UA as it has the opportunity to change the world around us!
What happens when we team with Supporters, Leaders, Visionaries and Superheros?
15% of our goal is raised in 1 day!!
