2016 Collegiate Road Nationals

The UA Cycling Team is on track to have a record-breaking spring season! We currently lead the Southwest Collegiate Cycling Conference in the team omnium as well as the Men’s A (David Greif) and Women’s A (Shelby Hoglund) omniums. Our team has consistently dominated races across all categories this school year, beating ASU, NAU, and UNM in most events. We are on track to win all three conference titles having earned the mountain bike and cyclocross titles last fall - this has never been done before in team history!

Roster

We’ve earned the chance to send a full team of four men and four women to nationals in Marshall and Burnsville, North Carolina on May 13-15. The UA Cycling Team will be represented by a mix of experienced riders. The team will be led by:

David Greif (Junior, Mech. Engr, Vice President)

  Erica Clevenger (Senior, Chem. Engr)

And joined by:

Joey Iuliano (PhD, Geography) - Team President

  Josh Pratt-Ferguson (Sophomore, Econ.)

Kyle Trudeau (Senior, Business) - Vice President

  Shelby Hoglund (Senior, Env. Sciences)

  Sarah Posner (Senior, Env. Studies)

  Cherry Niel (Junior, Env. Sciences)

Josh, Sarah, and Cherry will be at nationals for the first time - an experience that can change their personal and athletic life!

Help Us Reach Our Goal

Lack of funds is the only thing that will keep us from utilizing this outstanding opportunity. The total estimated cost for sending 8 riders to North Carolina is over $7,000. We hope to reduce this cost with your help to make this trip a reality for all 8 riders. Your donations will help us pay for airfare, bike shipping, lodging, entry fees, and rental vehicles. This is our team’s chance to show why we deserve to recognized as one of the best cycling teams in the nation and you can help get us there! Bear down!
