UPDATE:
The COVID-19 situation continues to change very quickly. The health and safety of our program participants is our utmost concern. With this in mind, and with the guidance of College and University partners and leaders, all SEA programs for 2020 have been cancelled.
Current donors can expect a direct communication from our staff. We look forward to SEA 2021 and sincerely thank our alumni, faculty, staff and friends for their support. Please contact engr-sea@email.arizona.edu with questions.
Help us raise $6,000 for need-based scholarships in support of high school students attending the University of Arizona's Summer Engineering Academy! SEA takes place on the UA main campus throughout June and July, providing engineering education, fun and college inspiration to over 200 students annually.
Financial support above and beyond our goal helps us to assist even more campers with the cost of program registration.
The Summer Engineering Academy is a series of six camps run by University of Arizona College of Engineering students, staff and faculty. Camps are open to high school students interested in exploring engineering, math and science. This opportunity exposes students to hands-on lab activities, field trips and collaborative team-building, showing them first-hand how engineers solve real-world problems.
Camp topics are derived from the Grand Challenges for Engineering, with themes ranging from health and security to sustainability and infrastructure. Our vision is to create a world in which the students we educate today engineer solutions for the problems of tomorrow, making our communities healthier, happier and more efficient.
SEA has been an important outreach initiative in the College of Engineering for more than 30 years. Over 200 students from diverse local and national communities attended camp in 2019; approximately 35 percent of students who attend SEA go on to pursue STEM majors at the University of Arizona. We need your help to continue this legacy! Please make a gift today.
