To celebrate my 57th birthday on March 13, I'm asking all of my friends and family members to give at least $57 to support the students who are utilizing the services of the University of Arizona Campus Health Counseling and Psych Services (CAPS). During the pandemic, CAPS has become even more important. Just since the start of the spring semester in mid-January, over 1,000 students have been served by CAPS.
I have had many close friends and family that could have benefited from counseling services as students, including myself. Fortunately, some of us toughed it out and thrived and unfortunately, some struggled and never recovered to finish school. I believe with increased access to counseling services, more students have a better chance of completing their goals.
As a thank you for giving to this special program, Dan and I will match all gifts up to $5,700 to provide even more support to UArizona students who need these services!
Our gifts will help pay for student appointments and counselor hours and will benefit low-income students requiring services.

On average, a student will need four sessions with a CAPS counselor.
