In fact, we surpassed it, successfully raising $30,000 for staff and programs, plus $2,160 to pay for more than 200 students to have an overnight experience at Camp Cooper.
We are so grateful for your support! It is your generosity that has allowed Camp Cooper to thrive even during challenging times. We are eager to restart in-person field trips this month knowing that we have the funding to grow our staff and our evolve our programs. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Lastly, as you probably know, we created a documentary film's worth of new video content for our crowdfunding Happy Hour event, and the piece that feels most relevant at this moment is "What It Means To Work At Cooper." If you haven't watched it - know that our staff are what makes Camp Cooper experiences unforgettable, and you help to make hiring and retaining such incredible people possible. I hope you'll watch it!
With less than a day left in the campaign, we have surpassed our goal of raising $30,000 in 30 days! Incredible. Thank you to everyone who supported our efforts by donating, sharing our campaign, or just cheering us on. These funds will go straight to funding staffing and program development here at the Cooper Center.
Now, let's see if we can raise an additional $2,000 before midnight tonight (9/30) which will be allocated exclusively for buses and trip fees for classes that need our support.
$2,000 can support more than 200 students having an unforgettable overnight experience at Camp Cooper.
With just 36 hours (or so) left to go, we only need to raise $1200 to reach our goal. If we can surpass 25K today, our 5K match will put us over $30,000!

Exciting news! We have a donor willing to match the next $5,000 in gifts to our crowdfunding campaign. This is a brand new donor to Camp Cooper, and they have a passion for education and connecting children with the outdoors.
We'll be able to thank them and celebrate the gift once the match is achieved. As we enter the final days of our crowdfunding campaign, the value of your gift will be doubled by this generous donor.

A Huge Step Forward Toward Our Goal
Happy Hour was a huge success - thanks to the contributions of dozens of Cooper Center supporters (and the technical wizardry of our colleagues Mike Griffith and Jason Aragon at the College of Education).
It was also a fundraising success - we brought in $12,337 during the event - thanks to 23 donors and a $5,000 matching grant from Tucson Electric Power.
The Cooper Center relies on your donations to bring our programs to thousands of school children each year. We are humbled and grateful for your support!

As we send out this update, we have raised $4,723, or just shy of 16% toward our goal of raising $30,000 for staff and programs here at Camp Cooper. Thank you so much to those who have given!
While we'd like to be a little further along, we are not stressing just yet. Instead, our team is busy putting the finishing touches on our biggest and most entertaining Camp Cooper Happy Hour yet.
If you missed our Happy Hour last year, you won't want to make the same mistake again. This year brings together more than a dozen entertainers, from musicians to storytellers, cartoonists to crooners, researchers and teachers, as well as donors and supporters.
Happy hour is a chance for all of us who share the vision of The Cooper Center to come together. To keep everyone safe, Happy Hour will stream live, over the internet, straight to you via our website, Facebook or YouTube. We'll send out all the links before the event.
Experiencing Zoom fatigue? Not to worry, our program is NOTHING like any Zoom call you've been on lately. This celebration will not be on mute. ;)
This event is free, family-friendly, and a great way to share your love for The Cooper Center with your personal and professional connections.
