Student Veterans of America (SVA) is a national organization based in Washington, DC, that promotes student veterans through lobbying Congress to take legislative action where necessary. SVA was a part of the creation of the Forever GI Bill and many other large pieces of beneficial legislation for student veterans. The organization is also focused on helping student veterans find gainful and meaningful employment at the end of their degree paths. Locally, the University of Arizona SVA chapter is primarily aimed at creating networking and career opportunities for student veterans.
Once a year SVA brings all of the local chapters together "under the flagpole" to network, teach seminars and sessions on growing chapter involvement and more, and to introduce student veterans and SVA chapters to Fortune 500 and other military/veteran inclusive companies.
We're asking for your help as we look toward NatCon 2022. Your donation will go toward the conference fees, airfare, ground transportation, food, and lodging for five student veterans and up to two staff advisors. If we receive more donations than we need, we will open up opportunities for more students to join us OR we will reserve those funds for NatCon 2023.
Your contributions could lead to a student veteran finding a great job, getting more involved on campus, or for a student veteran to learn more about how to connect with and advocate for their fellow student veterans!
Let us know if you've got questions, and thanks for your donation.
