“This is an incredible program. You are reaching families in different regions. All being connected to the boxes we receive. Each doing our own projects. Encouraging and promoting family values while giving attention to our mental and physical wellness for all generations. Family engagement and learning to eat new foods. Giving alternatives to our diets. Plus, it’s fun doing the activities. It’s exciting to share with others. Thank you all for the great work!”
We appreciate everyone who visited the Camp crowdfunding page and shared it with others. We hope you learned more about the vital work we are doing to promote healthy lifestyle in Native American youth and families.
For those who made a contribution, we appreciate your support! Your gift will help to bring the Camp program to more kids and families in 2022.

Our health promotion curriculum focuses on nutrition education (less sugared beverage and empty calorie consumption, for example), increased physical activity, and mental wellness. We provide activities to reinforce the educational messaging, including family-based interactive games. For those who have donated, thank you for your support. For those who haven't, please join our efforts to promote healthy lifestyle among American Indian families. Every donation helps makes a world of difference!
The American Indian Youth Wellness Camp is designed to promote health and delay the onset of diseases such as high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, obesity, mental stress, diabetes, cancer and heart disease. Help us continue this valuable work by donating today, #GivingTuesday. Thank you to all who have donated; may your support be blessed ten-fold!
Our campaign has been live for a week and we have reached 28% of our goal. Thank you so much to those who have donated!
Our Camp is using Mind-Body Medicine (MBM) which focuses on the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior, and the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social, spiritual and behavioral factors can directly affect health. Techniques such as meditation, mindfulness, expressive arts, imagery, mindful nutrition and physical activity, biofeedback, as well as the use of prayer, ceremony and ritual are a few tools within MBM. The AYEM-B project is studying the impact of a culturally informed MBM curriculum for American Indian youth and families to address the burden of chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity.
Your support makes this MBM focus possible!
