The Campus Pantry at the University of Arizona is a program set up with the purpose of serving the student community on campus that faces the issue of food insecurity. The program runs exclusively on donations and grants that are received from generous donors and the University. With a large base of students who regularly use the Campus Pantry (approximately 950 individuals), the program is currently overwhelmed and faces the dilemma of not being able to keep up with the ever-increasing demand of students.
The purpose of this campaign is to make substantial progress towards the Campus Pantry’s previously existing goal of $160,000. This total is made up of smaller goals representing different areas of the pantry that need additional funding or improvement. These include a Blast-Chiller to support boxing up hunger ($50,000), a walk-in fridge ($40,000), weekly produce ($1,000), and UAHS food bag distribution ($400 weekly).
For making your gift today, you will receive a thank you postcard signed by us and the Campus Pantry team members. If you give $20 or more, you will be invited to a tour of the Campus Pantry once the facility is complete, led by facility director Bridgette Nobbe.
Please consider donating to support this cause and help prevent more students from experiencing food insecurity on campus!
It takes $10 or less to provide groceries to a student for one week.
