Launched this Spring by the Department of Computer Science at The University of Arizona, the Buddy Mentor Program connects first year students with Mentors to welcome them to our campus community. Mentors engage with Mentees, providing experience and guidance to prepare them for their future in our program.
The Goals of the Buddy Mentor Program are to:
One of our students says about being a Mentor, “I remember feeling overwhelmed as I started my CS journey, and I know that my experience is not uncommon. I would have benefited from having a mentor a few years ahead of me in the process, so I want to contribute in offering that guidance to the newest on this journey.”
By supporting the Buddy Program, you become an essential piece in ensuring students have accessibility to excel in this program. With your gift today, you become an Honorary "Big" Buddy to our CS Mentor Program!
