Colleagues, Fellow Alumni, and Friends,
In 2023, the College of Medicine - Phoenix (COM-P) saw one of its most beloved members, Kelly Lynch, transition to retirement. For more than 17 years, Kelly’s presence on campus affected so many of us, and created a sense of community that is fundamental to a good medical school experience.
For me personally, Kelly’s example has been impactful. She is a reminder of the influence one single person can have on the lives of so many, through the simple practice of kindness and love for all (and of course hugs)!
In her honor and with the support of COM-P and the University of Arizona Foundation, COM-P alumni have founded the Kelly Lynch Scholarship. Funds will be broadly distributed to current and future COM-P students, to help decrease the burden of medical school debt.
Our fundraising goal this summer is $50,000. So far, over $10,000 has already been given, so we are off to a great start.
