Hello alumni and friends,

I have the best news. Our SHPE UA Alumni Scholarship Crowdfunding campaign has ended….and we have EXCEEDED our goal. AGAIN!!!! Our goal was $9000 and we managed to raise $11,235! The best part about this was that we met our goal early on Wednesday and you all still kept donating! 

I want to thank every single person who took the time to donate and share the campaign. Every year, the scholarship continues to grow because of the recent grads who get added to our distribution list, because our older alumni get more and more generous every year and because friends who were never a part of SHPE UA see the passion and support us with a donation.

My core team (Fernando Lopez, Azahel Cordova Arvizu, Juan Sandoval-Veliz, Jaime Goytia, Nayleth Ramirez) and I may be the people who drive this effort but it would not be successful without the help of our incredible alumni and friends.

Every year, I look forward to watching the SHPE UA alumni video applications because it gives me hope that SHPE UA is as strong as ever in providing a familia for students.

Thank you also to Francisco Brown, Nayleth Ramirez, Azahel Cordova Arvizu, Renatto Ramos, Alexis Morales, Gerardo Figueroa, Diana Reyes, and Alfred Goodwin for attending the SHPE UA meeting and helping to announce the winners!
