2024 Collegiate Road Cycling Nationals

UA Cycling can repeat as national champions with your help!

After a successful 2024 season, we're one of the favorites heading into nationals, and we need your help to stay on top! 12 of us, eight men and four women, have qualified for nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on May 3-5, 2024. We will use your gifts to cover our race entry fees, lodging and meals to make the trip to New Mexico with the best team possible!

Women's Team:
Mary Gordon

Emmi Gilbert
Cass Frost
Grace Reeder

Men's Long Team (final team to be announced in late April):
Caedan Aveling
Aidan Rhodes
Matan Sopher
Joe Pifel
Adam Katheder
Tommy Oldham
Bennett Chambers
Mason Tuckenhagen

Support staff: Joey Iuliano

Traveling to a national championship is an expensive ask! In 2023, the average cost per rider was $450 per rider for entry fees, travel, and lodging. With potentially 12 riders attending this year (plus support), cost will be about $5,850-6,000.

Thanks to your generous support, our crowdfunding campaigns over the last five years raised over $28,000! These funds allowed all of our qualified riders to go to road nationals in Albuquerque, NM (2023), Augusta, GA (2019-22), Grand Junction, CO (2017-18), and Asheville, NC (2016), where the team had some incredible performances! Some stats from the last national championships in 2023:
12 riders (9 men, 3 women)
3rd in the team omnium
2nd Crit (Nikos)
4th Men's TTT

Additionally, we were good stewards of the excess funds raised in 2023 and used it to send five riders to mountain bike and five to CX nationals, resulting in several top-ten finishes.

Racing in a national championship is an experience that can inspire riders to be lifelong cyclists and to strive to be the best student-athlete possible. This event is our team's chance to show why we are one of the best cycling teams in the country, and you can help get us there!

Will you help by making a gift today? Donations are tax-deductible! All donors will receive a thank you letter, team photo, and listed on our website.
