This donation will contribute to the student scholarships and organizational operations to maintain the overall mission.

Incorporate sexual orientation and gender identity data collection and electronic medical records. Data collected improves the ability to serve LGBTQIA+ people of all races and ethnicities. It helps to assess and improve the health of its members.

Promote future LGBTQIA+ health professional leaders to further health equity mission for LGBTQIA+ patients.

Increase the number of LGBTQIA+ healthcare educators and experts in the field to facilitate the design, implementation, evaluation and publication of LGBTQIA+ curricula content and better prepare students and healthcare providers to care for LGBTQIA+ patients.

Support the mission and values of UAHS LGBTQIA+ Interest Group in providing education, symposiums, awards and scholarships.

Create healthcare where LGBTQIA+ people are comfortable disclosing their sexual orientation or gender identity in healthcare settings without fear of discrimination or provider bias.
