We Hit Our Fundraising Goal!

January 03, 2025

Thank you again to all our Huerta Scholarship donors!

Thanks to your generosity we hit our $42,500 goal! As of this morning, we have 43 donations and have raised $45,733 in support Indigenous law students attending University of Arizona Law.

We are grateful for your continued support of our mission to teach, mentor, and support the next generation of Indigenous lawyers, advocates, and legal scholars and protect and promote Indigenous human rights across the world.

We could not fulfil our mission without the mentorship and support of our alumni, friends of the program, and donors like you!

Wishing you all the best in 2025.

Sincerely,

Justin Boro

Associate Director, Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy Program

Closing 2024 with a big THANK YOU

December 30, 2024

As 2024 closes we want to thank you for supporting Indigenous law students attending University of Arizona Law.

Thank you for supporting the next generation of Indigenous law students with your support of the Huerta Scholarship.

Thus far we have raised $30,905, all of which goes directly to supporting Indigenous law students as they start their legal education at University of Arizona Law.

We are grateful for your continued support of our mission to teach, mentor, and support the next generation of Indigenous lawyers, advocates, and legal scholars and protect and promote Indigenous human rights across the world.

This year the IPLP Program made significant accomplishments, thanks in large part to your support. We welcomed a new faculty director, Keith Richotte, our faculty were involved in historic Indigenous human rights cases, we welcomed an incredible group of new students, and we continued to teach and mentor the next generation of Indigenous advocates, lawyers, and scholars. With your continued support, 2025 promises to be another successful year as well.

Wishing you and your family all the best in 2025.

Sincerely,

Justin Boro
