Lauren Townsend was a bright, ambitious young woman whose dreams of college were tragically cut short, with her death in the 1999 Columbine school shooting. Her family, determined to keep her spirit alive, established a University of Arizona scholarship in her memory. The scholarship is awarded annually to the top Freshman scholar on the Arizona Rugby team. For a quarter-century, Lauren's legacy has lived on through the achievements of UA rugby players who've benefited from this generous support.
