The average price for a hardcover MG or YA book is $19. Your gift at this level will provide a book to a middle or high school reader or to their school.

Anyone who listened to the 2024 recap episode of the WOW Reads podcast knows Reading Ambassadors are serious about their bagels. Your gift of $55 covers bagels, cream cheese, and hot chocolate for one of our meetings.

Literature discussions are lively events that can include activities designed for multiple modalities of learning. We use high-quality paper, printer paper, butcher paper and newsprint. We use pencils, pens, crayons, markers and paint. Clipboards, lanyards, stickers and other materials come into play. Our laminator can get quite a workout too! Your gift of $179 covers all this.

Reading Ambassadors choose their own books, but they need to see the books first to make that determination. To make this possible, we offer a book browse of between 15 and 20 books at a cost of $380. These books will then be incorporated into center holdings or distributed as part of the program.

We do enjoy our bagels -- and strawberries with chocolate icing and hot chocolate! That much gooey goodness requires plates and napkins and cups. Your gift of $880 covers all the refreshments and tableware for lit discussions and public events.

Reading Ambassadors read four books for this program. Worlds of Words spends $665 on each group for each cycle. Your gift of $1,310 will cover an entire cycle of books for both groups. To show our gratitude for gifts at this level, we will thank you on an episode of the WOW Reads podcast.

The Reading Ambassadors have had virtual visits from authors zooming in from Japan and the U.K. and both U.S. coasts; however, nothing beats an in-person visit. Your gift of $2,000 will allow the Reading Ambassadors to fly a national author to Tucson for a public event. Each Reading Ambassador receives a free book for their personal library AND a book to share with their school or in another community context. We purchase an average of 35 books for each Reading Ambassador group for all four rounds at a cost of $5,240. Your gift at this level would cover all the books for the entire year!
