Your donation made this possible - thank you!

September 04, 2017

Dear donors,

We wanted to thank you once again for supporting our medical students' trip to the Dominican Republic last summer. The trip was a great success! We would like to share the attached short video with you, in gratitude.

We also want to invite you to join us at our next GHIG Fundraiser, Friday September 15th, 2017 at 8 PM at The Duce in Phoenix, AZ. Proceeds from the fundraiser will continue to support our Global Health program trips to the Dominican Republic. You can also donate online at crowdfund.arizona.edu/globalhealthfall17 for our upcoming fall trip in just a few weeks.

Thank you!

Thanks to you all, we have been able to raise $3,865 to cover costs of this summer's medical student trip to the Dominican Republic. Just in time too - our students head off to the Dominican Republic in just 10 days!

Melissa Thomas - in the lead!

April 28, 2017

My name is Melissa Thomas and I’m a first year medical student at UACOM-P. I grew up in Cheyenne, WY, attended undergraduate school at University of Northern Colorado, and graduate school at Columbia University in the City of New York. I worked post-grad for six years before returning to medical school. I decided to pursue the Global Health Certificate of Distinction after years of working with refugees and asylees. I am passionate about serving the underserved, those who lack adequate advocacy and resources to have their voices heard.  Moving forward in my medical career, medical relief trips to developing countries are at the forefront of my goals as a physician. Thank you for supporting our trip to the Dominican Republic! Without your donations, this trip wouldn’t be possible. You can donate to my referral link here. Our ambassador competition ends this Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 11:59 PM MST.

We've reached our goal!

April 27, 2017

We did it! We've reached our original goal of $3,160. Thank you so much to each of the 40 donors who contributed to our crowdfunding campaign. We appreciate your contribution and could not have done it with you.

Our ambassadors are excited to be collecting donations as they get closer and closer to the day of their trip. To give them an opportunity to continue raising funds and cover more of the cost of the trip, we're going to up our goal to $4,000. With 18 days left to the campaign, we're confident that we can reach this new goal - thanks to donors like you!

Ambassador Challenge Round 2!

April 22, 2017

We're at 88% of our goal and we're in the last 3 weeks of our campaign! Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far and supported us. Special thank you to everyone who came to our fundraiser at Rock Bar.

Tomorrow, we will begin the Ambassador Challenge Round 2, but this time the ambassador who receives the greatest number of individual donations is our winner. Your donation, big or small, can make a difference. Help us reach 100% of our goal!

Please reach out to our ambassadors for their referral link. We'll keep you updated intermittently.

Save the Date!

April 02, 2017

We're so excited to announce that the winner of the one-week Ambassador challenge is Megan Kelly. Thank you to everyone who donated using her referral link. We also want to thank everyone who donated using Alexia Tatem and Agnes Ewongwo's referral links.

Please continue to donate and share with family, friends, and colleagues.

Also, save the date for our annual Fundraiser at The Rock Bar in Old Town Scottsdale on Friday, April 7 at 8pm. Come see the Flippin’ Switches and meet the students who are going on the trip!
