We are in the final days of the crowdfunding campaign for the Allison Feldman Memorial Scholarship. Thanks to your generosity, the scholarship is endowed with over $29,000 raised! We have 5 days left, so let's try to get to $30,000. Please tell your friends and family about this wonderful cause! Any amount helps and is a tax deductible donation to the University of Arizona.
Bear Down,
Rob, Monica, Harley and Elayne
As you may have seen on the news, an arrest has been made in Allison’s case. It brings about many mixed emotions, but this is a step in the right direction and hopefully a small amount of closure for us as her family and friends. With this development, it’s even more gratifying to know that we will have this scholarship for a UA student to study abroad in honor of Ali. Thank you so much for your support.
Sincerely,
Monica
Thanks to your generosity, we have achieved the first milestone in our campaign for a Study Abroad Scholarship in Allison’s name! We are overwhelmed with joy, knowing how much Ali would have loved this project.
We will keep the campaign open until the end of the month, knowing that more support means more opportunities for a special University of Arizona student to have the experience of a lifetime while studying internationally.
Thank you again for your support of the Allison Feldman Memorial Endowed Scholarship.
Sincerely,
Rob & Monica
We wanted to share with you the words of Allison’s mom, Elayne, from the vigil on Saturday, February 17, 2018. It really illustrates how amazing Ali was and how much this scholarship means to all of us. Please share this with her friends and family. Help us in this final stretch of the campaign so that we can reach our goal to support scholarships for Study Abroad in Allison’s name.
Thank you,
Rob & Monica
DID YOU KNOW?
I am going to tell you about my wonderful daughter Allison.
Did you know that Allison was a beautiful ballerina who was a competition dancer? She competed in many places including Las Vegas and New York.
Did you know that Allison’s dad would sit for hours every night with a small tweezers and bags of Swarovski crystals gluing the crystals onto her ballet tutus?
Did you know that before Allison got her driver’s license, her dad would drive her clear across town and sit in a coffee shop for 3 hours 3 times a week until she finished her dance lesson?
Did you know that in addition to being a competition dancer, she was also on her school dance team as well as being a hockey, football and basketball cheerleader?
Did you know that Allison went to the University of Arizona and spent her junior year studying abroad in Spain? She had the time of her life traveling all over Europe. I asked her if she needed anything, and she said “no mom, just the credit card.” She maintained her friendships with her study abroad group, and they were hoping to make a return trip to Spain to retrace their steps?
Did you know that after Allison graduated from the University of Arizona she moved to Scottsdale with the goal and dream of working in health care? She knew it took a lot of experience. She was hired at Molnlycke Health and became a burn specialist. She was so devoted to her job that if she got a call even on a Saturday night that a nurse needed her, she would get into her car and drive even to Tucson to help?
Did you know that every summer she volunteered to work at the Arizona Burn Camp for badly burned children? She worked in the infirmary helping in whatever way she could.
Did you know that Allison was just told that she would be working in burn hospitals in 5 states? She didn’t live to work at her new job.
Did you know that the burn unit was planning a trip to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas? She looked forward to that wonderful trip for a whole year. When we cleaned out her closet, we found beautiful sun dresses and flip flops with the tags still on ready to be packed. The last message she wrote on her computer that fateful night was “buy a hat.” She missed the trip by 3 days.
Did you know she was going to be a bridesmaid in her best friend Katie’s wedding and make beautiful memories walking down the aisle in honor of Katie holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers? The only memories that were made was a picture of Allison and a candle.
Did you know that Allison was the kindest and sweetest girl ever? She loved her friends and her family.
Did you know that every night I would text Allison and say “You are a very loved child?” She would text back “Thank you momma. I love you too.” So I am going to close my eyes and say “Allison you are very loved child.”
The power of a group of people working towards a common goal is incredible. One month! In one month we have raised 60% of our goal to establish the Allison Feldman Memorial Scholarship.
Just when Monica and I thought we would have to resign ourselves to this being a years long task, an overwhelming amount of support came forward in the past week. Since we have come so far in such a short amount of time, we are extending the deadline for the campaign until April 6th.
Thank you to everyone that has donated and offered their support. We have come so far. Just a little further to go, before we can honor Ali with the Allison Feldman Memorial Scholarship. Please continue to share and promote this campaign to Ali's friends!
Sincerely,
Rob, Monica and the Feldmans
We covered a lot of ground during our time abroad. Hundreds of miles in Spain, thousands of miles visiting neighboring countries – Portugal for a weekend, Italy, France, Germany or Austria for any longer breaks we had. But what really defined our study abroad experience are the relationships we created. They didn’t just last those five months together. They have spanned the last 14 years. We have watched each other graduate from law school, medical school, earn Masters degrees, get married and have babies. Allison should have been here for all of that. She deserved to be here for all of that.
The creation of this scholarship endowment is to help establish a legacy in her name and give this wonderful study abroad experience to future University of Arizona students. My time abroad is one of the single most defining experiences of my life, and I have a feeling it was for Allison, too. We hope to share that with as many Wildcats as we possibly can.
Thank you for your generosity and for continuing to share this campaign with those who knew Allison.
Bear Down.

Thank you, to everyone that was able to attend the vigil for Allison last Saturday. To hear Ali's family, friends and colleagues describe her life and personality was amazing. It is overwhelming to hear so many people from different aspects of Ali's life describe her the same: one of the most warm, caring and friendly people that one could be fortunate enough to meet.
We are also appreciative of all of the local media channels that reported on the story, keeping Allison's memory and legacy alive. Check out this news story featuring Ali's dad: http://www.tucsonnewsnow.com/story/37552559/friends-fundraising-for-scholarship-to-honor-murdered-ua-grad .
Because of the tremendous efforts of everyone involved, we are proud to now have raised over $5,400 (21%) of our goal! Ali would love the idea of supporting future study abroad students.
Please keep sharing Ali's story and encourage others to contribute in her name.
Rob and Monica
We are amazed by all of the support we have received, and excited to have already reached 12% of our goal in two days! Thank you all for your generosity and support. This really shows how important Allison was to all of us.
Her family and friends are having a candle light memorial for her this Saturday the 17th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Scottsdale Justice Center on 3700 N. 75th St. We welcome you to attend, if you are able to join us.
Please continue to share this campaign, so that we may get the Allison Feldman Memorial Scholarship endowed!
Thanks again,
Rob and Monica
