Hello New Start Family,
Our virtual conference is open and happening! It's been exciting to see the variety of subjects students are passionate about. Some of the presentation topics include:

With this in mind, we reached 80% of our goal today and have less than $1,000 to go. We're so close! I know we can hit the target, and I'll bet we can even hit it early together...
Next Friday, New Start 2020 will conclude. It's exciting to think that even though they've only interacted through a screen, they'll be joining an expansive but close-knit network of friends and alumni, and I can already feel their enthusiasm building! They already know they are well-supported. These scholarship funds are something tangible they can take into their freshman year, and every donation and share on your feed is contributing to that. Let's keep that momentum going!

Good morning New Start Family,
When I woke up this morning and saw that we had already hit 68% of our scholarship goal, my heart soared! We have only had the campaign open for a few days now, and it's beautiful to see our community pull together so quickly and so fully.
Our team had a lot of thoughts and emotions about New Start going online this summer. There's a certain kind of magic that lives in this program, and we wondered how we could recreate this in a virtual world so that this didn't simply feel like "summer school." And the efforts of our friends, alumni, family, and supporters prove that this magic still exists -- and it's nurtured by a full community that transcends the digital world and the six-week experience.
We've arrived at Week 5 of New Start, which means the Academic Conference is right around the corner. Students have worked hard on their presentations and proposals, and the committee has put in valuable time and energy to adapt plans, read proposals, and host virtual office hours for students. We can't wait to see what students have come up with and to reward them for their results!
We have twelve days to go and 32% of our goal to fulfill. I know we can do it! Please consider tagging a friend or two or sharing the link in your networks. Let's continue to put that New Start magic in action!
