Each family commits to attend 24 hours of workshops to build upon their existing college knowledge as they interact with UA faculty, staff and students.
Helps to employ a UA student for one week as a College Camp Leader. In total, 11 students work for 12 weeks with the elementary school students in College Camp.
Provides 10 families an interaction with a famous author AND each family leaves with at least 5 books to add to their home library. This experience is provided for all participating families.
Each year, the College Academy for Parents has 100 families commit to complete the program with the intent to create a college-plan for their elementary school-aged children.
Brings one school bus of families to the UA for a campus visit! Sixty percent of families report that this is the first time they have been to campus. Each year, the program requires 3 to 4 buses for each of the 2 campus visits.
